UTTRAKHAND

  1. Yamunotri: Situated at an altitude of 3,293 meters, Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna River. It is believed to be the home of the goddess Yamuna. Pilgrims trek to the temple dedicated to Yamuna Devi to seek her blessings and take a dip in the holy Yamuna River. The scenic beauty of the surrounding mountains and hot water springs adds to the spiritual ambiance.


Gangotri: Located at an altitude of 3,100 meters, Gangotri is the place where the holy River Ganges originates. It is believed to be the dwelling place of the goddess Ganga. Pilgrims visit the Gangotri temple to offer prayers and take a holy bath in the river to cleanse their sins. The stunning views of the Bhagirathi peaks and the tranquility of the region make it a spiritually uplifting experience.


    3. Kedarnath: Situated at an elevation of 3,583 meters, Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and holds immense significance in Hindu mythology. The Kedarnath temple, nestled amidst the snow-capped Himalayas, is accessible by a trek or helicopter. Pilgrims undertake the arduous journey to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva and attain spiritual liberation.


Badrinath: Located at an altitude of 3,133 meters, Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is considered one of the holiest shrines in Hinduism. The Badrinath temple, surrounded by majestic peaks, is visited by devotees seeking salvation. The sacred Alaknanda River flows by the temple, and the nearby Tapt Kund hot springs are believed to have healing properties
